In contrast to some program interventions that pharmacies may be familiar with (i.e. adherence, statin use gaps), MTS program encounters are more robust in nature and in some cases include pre-visit and post-visit communication requirements.
One feature that all MTS pharmacies have access to is DocStation Conversations, an in-app, HIPAA compliant, communication tool which enables back-and-forth communication with any patients with a registered mobile phone.
Examples of where this could be used include, but are not limited to:
Initial outreach to confirm the patient is interested in participating
Capturing pre-visit survey
Sending post-visit resources (e.g. What is High Blood Pressure)
Capturing patient food, beverage, and physical activity diaries prior to Visit 2 (My Food and Beverage Diary, My Physical Activity Diary)
