Being able to make notes about a patient's care is a crucial part of effective management. With great feedback from our pharmacy partners (You!), we've added new functionality for Patient Notes.

Notes have been updated to reflect in both the familiar profile page and in a segregated tab on the profile. Date and user stamps, private vs. public views and pinning are also new features.

Notes Tab:
It is still available to add a note via the note box on the front page of the patient profile - click the (+) in the bottom left corner. You'll automatically navigate to the Notes tab, where you can capture any pertinent information. You can also navigate directly to the Notes tab to write a new note.

The name of the user adding the note, as well as the date the note was added, will also exist for all new notes. Notes captured prior to this feature release will say "System Note".

Editing Notes:
To edit an existing note, click the (...) in the bottom right corner, make your edits, then click "Save" in the same place. Edits will also be date stamped for reference.

Private vs. Public:
Private notes are visible only to DocStation users in your organization or pharmacy, while Public notes can be printed with other profile elements or included in eCare Plans (more on notes in eCare Plans in the near future).

Pinned Note:
The first note created is automatically pinned to the front page of the profile. You can also choose to pin a new note, which will keep it at the top of the list in the Notes tab and visible of the front profile page.
